Why does the crysis special edition have 2 discs just for the game and the normal crysis has only one disc?

the normal crysis has one disc for the game, the special edition has two for the game and one for special content. also, the crysis special edition is nowhere to be found in online retail stores except gamestop and it is only 20 dollars brand new while the normal crysis is around 40 dollars? it doesnt make alot of sense.Why does the crysis special edition have 2 discs just for the game and the normal crysis has only one disc?
