Are the system requirements for Crysis 2 higher than the ones for Cysis 1?

I was talking with someone and they said Crysis 2 actually had lower system requirements than Crysis 1, and if you could run Crysis 1 on max settings you could run anything on max settings. Is it true?Are the system requirements for Crysis 2 higher than the ones for Cysis 1?
