Homefront singleplayer is very short but fun, it puts probably the most emotion I have seen in a shooter, and rivals games from all genres in that aspect. If your getting it for singleplayer, I'd suggest a rent.
Multiplayer is outstanding, I've logged around like 3 days into it and it is still great fun. Competitive multiplayer is just perfect. The only con I can find with Homefront (online) is that during the initial release they had server problems, but they fixed that problem.

The console version of the games are always optimized to play the same on each console even though there are fanboys that say one looks better than the other when obviously the majority of people never notice any difference at all.
Without a doubt it would look better on a PC if it could handle the maximum settings.
I say this because most games I play on my PC look better than the console version.

Probably, but probably not at high framerates. I would look into running it or a GTX 580 in SLI. It also depends on what kind of processor you have, if the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU it will make a HUGE difference.

Why does the crysis special edition have 2 discs just for the game and the normal crysis has only one disc?

Well it really depends what you expect to get out of it. The campaign is actually pretty good however the online multiplayer is quite poor.
The graphics are outstanding; it is easily one of the best looking games on the system. This also makes the campaign a much better experience, so if you are mostly a single player kind of guy I would recommend this game.
The multiplayer is where this game falls flat though, as it is very unbalanced and will leave you very frustrated in the end. On top of that, the game feels a lot like Call of Duty since a lot of the mechanics are similar (even if you are a fan of Call of Duty take note that these similarities aren't executed very well and you will most likely be disappointed)
In the end it's up to you. I have a good feeling you will enjoy the campaign and if you want to give the online a shot it might just be what you're looking for.

Crysis 2 is beautiful. The textures are amazing, the frame are as smooth as glass and the audio is rich and detailed. I am bored with call of duty and have longed for something to take its place. Homefront was an epic fail. This has fit the bill. It can be played in a run and gun style or as slow and methodical as one wants. The multiplayer is intense. I agree with the other reviewers saying that some level of co-op would put this over the top.

Today i tried to download the crysis 2 demo, but i could not find it in their list of demos. I also can't find it any where on the xbox live website. I have a Toshiba laptop with an AMD Turion x2 64-bit processor. an ATI Radeon x1250 graphics card with 3 gigs of ram on 32-bit vista home premium. So can I play Far Cry 2 or Crysis at all? Mainly I'll just be using the games for their map editors in my spare time, nothing big really.Can my laptop play Far Cry 2 or Crysis?
Plenty of people will tell you that you can run those games on your laptop but you really expect a lot from it, I have tried time and time again to warn people of the risk they are taking trying to run hardcore shooters on a portable system which doesn't have the heat dispersal system needed to cool the CPU, this causes it to overheat, the frame rate drops and with Intel processors will freeze and, with AMD, will just crash the system. Eventually the heat will fry the motherboard and your laptop will be kaput, it will probably cost as much to get it fixed as it would to buy a new laptop. Yes laptops are more powerful these days but it is in order for manufacturers to outdo each other, everybody wants a more powerful system so they can say wo, I've gotta zillion gigs, but they are not designed for the heat generated by even moderate rpg's never mind shooters which demand 60 frames per sec running for hours at a time! - Not that they would run for hours at a time! If you stuck to map editing you might be ok but there is always the temptation to play the maps. It's up to you, I'll probably be the only voice out of 10 or 15 who will say no, and the majority are always right. It's your machine and I've told you what I think, best of luck!

I've played Crysis 2 and it's a gorgeous game with a relatively fun Campaign as well as a decent multiplayer, much better than Black Ops in my opinion. There are a couple issues with Crysis, those being that the red dot sights as well as the laser sights are rather blocky and not very attractive. But that's nothing compared to the myriad of issues I experienced IN ONE GAME OF BLACK OPS. For example, when you try to snipe in Black Ops, your scope doesn't zoom on the center of your screen, making quick shots difficult, resulting in your death. Not to mention the hitboxes in Black Ops are absolutely atrocious, AND of the many guns in Black Ops, only a few are actually effective really. crysis 2 is way better than black ops but it takes a lot of bullets to kill people. also, i just got portal 2 at midnight and it is great. its kinda confusing but once u get the hang of it its easy and fun. u just need to know where to shoot the portals. my gt is xKFCxFLOPPYSACK

I'd say they're very similar, but on max settings, Crysis beats all of them. Crysis, along with many pc games, also allow support for multiple monitors - allowing support for resolutions higher than 1080p.

Possibly, the min system specs call for AT LEAST an 8800GT w/ 512MB of RAM. It may overheat the 9800 on high settings. If your going to buy it, id just get a GTX260. they are an entry level performance card that can run Bad Company 2 on highest settings w/ no problems. They are quite cheap these days and are good cards. Id say the 9800 could run medium settings with no issues, high is pushing it tho. Keep in mind that the new games coming out this fall are going to be running direct x 11 so even the 260 only has a few more months of life in the never ending advancements of video games.

I have recently gotten my alienware aurora r3 and i downloaded crysis 2. I was expecting to be able to run it on maximum settings without a problem but it has framerate issues even on high settings.

%26gt;Please do the research and know what you're actually buying. With the GT 545, running the game on lowest settings sounds about right. (maybe medium at the most).
Unfortunately, that Alienware is terrible, and my older four year old gaming PC can outperform it. A $600 entry level PC can outperform that.

Unfortunately, that Alienware is terrible, and my older four year old gaming PC can outperform it. A $600 entry level PC can outperform that.
%26gt;Lesson learned: Don't buy Alienware. If you don't want to custom build, then at least get a PC that is correctly priced as a prebuilt.

Crysis 2 is beautiful. The textures are amazing, the frame are as smooth as glass and the audio is rich and detailed. I am bored with call of duty and have longed for something to take its place. Homefront was an epic fail. This has fit the bill. It can be played in a run and gun style or as slow and methodical as one wants. The multiplayer is intense. I agree with the other reviewers saying that some level of co-op would put this over the top.

Homefront was an epic fail. This has fit the bill. It can be played in a run and gun style or as slow and methodical as one wants. The multiplayer is intense. I agree with the other reviewers saying that some level of co-op would put this over the top.

Crysis 2 is beautiful. The textures are amazing, the frame are as smooth as glass and the audio is rich and detailed. I am bored with call of duty and have longed for something to take its place. i was playing MW2 today on my computer and the so called 'impressive graphics' are not so impressive to me after playing Crysis and Crysis Warhead, both of which i can play on maximum graphics capabilities. So I downloaded the beta like a week ago on PS3, but found it impossible to play because it said I had a moderate NAT. Was that just because the PS3 beta was having issues, or was it the game itself. Ok so I'm 13, and I really want to get Crysis 2. But my mom says no because in the first mission it has dead body's with blood, and when you shoot/knife the enemies, blood comes out, and all that violence is too violent she says. My mom was the same way. I couldn't play GTA at all because it was causing kids to kill cops and take drugs. Soon my gaming choice was down to sims and beyond good and evil. What changed my moms mind is when I did chores for her around the house. I helped her here and there, and when it was time for a reward, I chose legacy of kain: defiance (M) and she got it for me. Just be nice and show her you can be mature about what it has in it. There is no way to change her mind about giving you a game as a kid...mature a little and she will. tell her that there is an option to turn off (censor) the blood, gore and language in the game. You could also tell her that its an optional event, like the no russian level in mw2. Why don't you go online and get pictures of real dead bodies and show it to your mom and say that whether she buys you the game or not, you can easily get a hold of violent pictures through the internet so she's really not really protecting you by preventing you from playing a video game that isn't as gory as tragedies in real life.
